Summer is the perfect time to let kids do some interest-led learning. How can you make sure that they’re retaining some of this new information? We’ve been using a Notebooking Pages Lifetime Membership, provided to us for this review, from NotebookingPages.com.

Our family doesn’t typically do a ton of lapbooks or notebooking, but I do like to be able to come up with quick resources to match what we are studying or experiencing. For example, my daughter recently saved up enough money to buy herself some betta fish. I wanted her to do a quick little research assignment on them to learn more about them, what they eat, their average growth, and things like that.
I checked out NotebookingPages.com, and they had the perfect sheet for this. It’s guided, but also has some open ended space on there, and room in the margins to doodle. This was an easy way to use this resource in a practical manner without being too “schooly” for the summertime.
I’ve been trying to get my kids to listen to more classical music and decided to just randomly play some for them while they were lounging around. I checked out my NotebookingPages.com membership, and there were many different printables available for many of the composers. We were going to listen to Mozart, so I just printed out a coloring sheet for each of them to color on while listening. There were other choices available, including ones with writing prompts or writing space, but I just wanted them to relax and listen, so we did the coloring page option.
I love that there are so many notebooking pages available to print. When you get a lifetime membership, you are being given access to all of the current resources, as well as anything else that might become available in the future. There are also bonus gifts included with membership that are available as downloads, and those include free ebooks about homeschooling, lapbooks, unit studies, and so much more from many generous sponsors.
As an example, I am showing you in the picture above the screen when I go to the Fine Arts section of my available downloads. There are Artist & Picture Study downloads, Composer & Listening Pages, as well as Copywork – Musical Designs. Then there are a few miscellaneous free downloads as well. If I click on the little download arrow on the left of any of the categories, a drop down menu appears with many more options.
The entire collection of downloads from a specific selection can be downloaded all at once as a ZIP file, or you can choose from whichever sheets interest you most and download the PDFs.
For the Artist & Picture Study, there are downloads for 27 different artists, including art prints, notebooking pages, and art studies. Not only that, but NotebookingPages.com even provides cover pages and table of contents printable for if you decide to use this as a huge unit study. We prefer to use everything a la carte, but the flexibility is there so you could do it either way!
As you can see, there are Notebooking Pages for tons of different studies! There are even plenty of pages that can be printed and adapted to use with any study. There are specific pages for the alphabet, Bible/character studies, famous people, fine arts, geography, history, holidays, language arts, and science/nature. I would say that this resource would be great for a homeschooling family in any age or stage, because each thing can be adapted!
There are some pages that are just coloring pages. Some pages are themed with lines. Others provide a place for students to give answers to specific research questions. There is a huge variety on so many topics, that most homeschooling families would be able to use this resource at least a few times a week, like we have.
TRY IT

Such a brilliant way to make children (and adults even) to do something else besides wasting time on FB or Twitter. My daughters will improve their creative skills and would certainly spend time learning new things, and do something productive. I am excited to show this to my girls.
