I have a houseful of kids, so when I can save time, I’m all over that! I recently got to try out the online check-in option from Great Clips and was amazed at how quickly I was able to get in and out of the salon. I appreciate that extra time and wanted to share with you how you can save #MoreMinutes as well.
With summer coming to an end, it is important to make sure you squeeze in some time with those you love. I love taking my kids out with me on little dates. They don’t have to be anything fancy or elaborate, and you certainly don’t have to spend a lot of money. You really don’t even have to spend a ton of time. The point is, you have to make an effort and spend some quality time with your family and close friends. You just have to!
When I decided to get a hair cut last weekend, I knew I should probably take a kid with me. With 5 kids, they each love when I spend individual time with them, no matter what it is that we are doing together. I love it too. We have some of the best conversations during the car ride, so anything else is a bonus!
I tried out the online check-in from Great Clips to see what wait times were like and to add my name to their wait list. There are very few things I loathe more than sitting around and waiting in line for something. Luckily, there is an easier way and Great Clips lets you take advantage of it with real-time estimated waits.
I picked my location and saw that there was around an 18 minute wait at my location. No problem! With just a few key strokes, I quickly added my name to the wait list.
The Great Clips was close, so that gave me time to grab a snack, tell my daughter to get ready to go since she loves Mom and Daughter dates, and get over to the salon.
They even had signage walking in the door to show you that you can save #MoreMinutes with online check-in. I’ll bet the 4 folks waiting in the front will take advantage of this easy service next time since I was immediately whisked from the front door to the salon chair once they found out that I was the Jennifer at the top of their list.
My hair is so super thin and fine, but my husband likes it long. I asked my stylist to take off just a little bit of length and to do whatever she thought would be best. I was honest with her in saying that I need to have enough length for a pony tail and an easy enough style that I could just shower, towel-dry, brush, and walk out the door.
It may not look like much, but she removed several inches! Not only that, but she added in a few layers for me as well. I feel so much better after getting my first hair cut in at least a year. My daughter loves having long hair, but agreed that mine really did need a little trim.
So how did I save #MoreMinutes by using the online check-in? I used my time after the visit to play with these guys. Apparently they created a little song for me while I was out with my daughter. Admit it, these guys are pretty cute composers!
What would you do with a few more minutes?
