I am so pleased to tell you about this amazing baby carrier that I recently had the pleasure of trying.
I am no newbie to baby wearing (or BWing for short). With my daughter, I tried on of the “typical” carriers many think of (which many have not so lovingly touted as crotch danglers since they provide little to no lumbar support and work to create a huge wedgie on the baby’s bum). When my second child came along, I tried a ring sling, which I didn’t love at all. I also tried, and loved, pouch slings once I found one that was sized correctly. With my third child, I used the pouch slings again because I already had them, but he was SO active that I felt unsafe carrying him in there after about 8 months.
My fourth child was born 3 months ago and he has been worn his whole life! Prior to receiving the Boba Baby Carrier, we tried a wrap from a work at home mom and I did like it. (Speaking of which, Boba makes a Wrap Carrier as well, and a new Boba Air which is an ultra lightweight carrier!) However, I was used to simpler carriers and had been looking into a semi-structured soft carrier (SSSC in the BWing world). The Boba definitely fit the bill and I couldn’t wait to tear into it and try it out! In fact, when I received it, my baby was asleep, but my 2 year old asked for me to wear HIM in it! Here are my first reactions:
There are so many fun features to this carrier. First of all, it fits like a dream. There are numerous ways to customize the fit. I’m particularly happy about this because I am in the middle of losing weight, so I know that this carrier will fit me when I get down to goal weight and it also fits me now! This was a problem with those pouch slings as they got loose as I lost weight. Not a problem with the Boba Carrier 3G. Additionally, there is a little pouch at the top outer part of the carrier that I’ve used to house an optional attaching hood and there are little foot straps for when carrier older kiddos that need a place to rest their tootsies. Oh, and did you see how adorable the print is? I got the Kangaroo design and it is a precious unisex print that can be worn on moms OR dads and used with girls or boys. 🙂 I love products like this!
Want to see what it looks like with my sweet littlest kiddo? Check out my video here (and excuse the camera work – my 7 year old was my helper at the park!):
Now that you’ve seen how I like the Boba, how about trying it out for yourself?

I absolutely LOVE our Boba, too! We also had a “traditional” carrier (brand will go un-named…) at first and my daughter hated it. When the Boba arrived, she immediately loved it, I could tell. Now she’s in it every day and is so happy.

So sweet! I love that it works for a variety of ages and mama sizes. Boba is on my list of carriers that I want to try. It looks a lot more supportive than a wrap – which is great when you have heavy babies. 🙂
