If you’re looking for a free, printable game for preschool or elementary kids, be sure to print out my Little Artists Matching Game. This printable provides 4 full-color pages for you to cut out and use as many times as you’d like as a memory game with your child. I like to print these out and place the pieces in little sandwich baggies to take with us so my kids have something to entertain them when we have to be in a waiting room or visiting somewhere where they won’t have screen time access.
Something I love about these, besides the adorable graphics, is that they’re so colorful. Boy and girls will like playing this game. I like to print them out on card stock so that they will last a little bit longer.
If you’re a Sunday School teacher, preschool or elementary teacher, or day care teacher, you might want to print these out and laminate them before cutting. This game would work well before or after art time. It would also be a fun activity for kids to do as part of a unit on colors, artists, drawing, or even learning about different careers (including being an artist, of course!).
Memory and matching games are great for quiet times and centers. Kids love being able to work on things like this alone or with a friend. These would also work well as a file folder game if you put Velcro dots on the back of the pieces and on the inside of the file folder and place the pieces in an attached envelope. Get creative!
