Teaching the alphabet to young children can be quite a task, but there are so many cute and interesting activities to help the process along. Today, I present to you an adorable O is for Owl craft idea that children will love to help make. Who knows, this art project might be the thing that helps them to remember the sound that O makes!
My kids always learn better when we do something that is more hands-on, so this sweet little owl will be perfect to work on with my 5 year old.
You Will Need:
Craft Foam
Glue (can use hot glue or white school glue)
Scissors
Black Marker
Paper or Cardstock
Googly Eyes
To Make:
-
After gathering all of the supplies, you will first download the letter O template and print onto paper or card stock.
-
Cut out the letter O and trace onto the craft foam. Cut the letter out.
-
Download and print the OWL template. Cut out.
-
Trace the owl template onto craft foam. Cut out.

-
Glue on googly eyes.
-
Glue the owl to the letter O.
I love working with children, and it can be so rewarding to teach them basic skills that they will use for the rest of their life. Literacy is so important, and it begins with the alphabet!
