Must watch was She-Ra!
I was born in 1965, we watched cartoons on Saturday mornings, with great delight, but I don’t remember there being all kinds of paraphernalia to go along with them. We also had shows that we watched on weekdays after school & in the evenings. Our must sees were Petticoat Junction, My Three Sons, Family Affair, The Partridge Family. We all head our own heartthrobs that we claimed from the series & also claimed certain characters that we got to “be”, lol.
I don’t recall any themed birthday cakes. I do recall that our birthday cakes were always made from scratch by our mom. To this day, I still don’t like store bought cakes!

I loved Jem and the Holograms, the Smurfs and Strawberry Shortcake. I did have a Strawberry Shortcake and Smurfette cake for 2 of my birthdays during the 80’s

I loved the snorkels? Snorks? I can’t even remember, and TMNTs, I wasn’t too girly and we were not allowed to watch much tv. I remember my mom loved the gummy bears cartoon though.
